Otto Kranendonk Fund

The OKF supports scientific research in Tropical Medicine and Global Health. Find out which projects are funded to improve healthcare in low- and middle-income countries.

The fund was established in 1994 as the Foundation Honorary Fund for Tropical Medicine. Since 2011, it has been in the name of Prof Dr Otto Kranendonk, formerly extraordinary professor of tropical medicine at the University of Amsterdam and director of the Department of Tropical Hygiene at the Royal Tropical Institute.

The fund provides financial support to scientific research in Tropical Medicine and Global Health. The purpose of this grant is to encourage scientific research for the improvement of health care in low- and middle-income countries.
